29th November 2015
The sad news of Asher's passing only reached me today, while sitting at a computer in the medical library of Leipzig University.
The landlady at the Cretan address where I spend 6 months of the year sends mail when I am not there. She does this about monthly to wherever I am.
Asher influenced me quite a lot, although in recent years he felt excluded by my growing interest in bio-medicine and genetics and diminishing interest in sociology.
We did continue to share a love of cats and, as soon as someone explains to me how to make a donation to the cat charity electronically, I will do so.
Kind regards from George Landers.

Thanks for your letter about the passing of Asher Tropp, who I knew for many years, as we compared notes over the years about the family tree and history of the Tropp family worldwide - going back to when Asher and Lyn were living in the USA.
I met Asher 3-4 times and knew that in recent years his health was failing, but sad to hear this news now.
best wishes
